Any person who doesn’t understand how hair quality affects life and other things would probably scoff at the fact that I, Tara Cabullo, spent almost P2,500 on one bottle of shampoo and one bottle of conditioner. Even I can’t believe it sometimes.
When the good folks of Salon Beauvoir invited me for a hair treatment using Davines’ Oi line, I couldn’t help but feel a little #FOMO on my way out of the salon. My hair was the softest it had ever been and the scent was unique, nothing like I’d ever smelled before and was consistent with its beauty oil, which we Beauty Ministers got to try last year.
Now that I’ve sufficiently recovered from the initial fan-girling, here are the reasons why I chose to fork over some good money for my new shampoo and conditioner:
1. My locks have been ultra soft since I started using this line, which, according to my friend Mia of Davines, contains Roucou Oil from the Amazon. This oil helps in rejuvenating the hair, moisturizing it, and protecting it from harsh elements like daily blow-drying, colorants, and perming solutions.
2. I love the smell of the Oi line: it’s neither too feminine nor masculine. It smells clean!
3. The Oi shampoo and conditioner have been especially beneficial to me since I’ve gone back to swim training. Chlorine can be harsh on the hair! I use this in the morning and in the evening after training, and my hair remains soft!
4. All Davines products are made of vegan ingredients and even their containers are recyclable materials. Hooray for sustainability!
Overall: I am extremely happy with my pikit-mata purchase and I’ll gladly repurchase when I run out.
