Maybe it was a gift, a product of poor mall lighting, or an impulse online purchase. Whatever the circumstances, we all have in our possession a BB cream, CC cream, foundation, or makeup base that’s too light for our skin tone. Given that our skin tone changes throughout the year, what are you supposed to do with the too-light shade in the meantime? Use it for other purposes, of course!
1. As an undereye concealer. I use a gifted CC cream that’s several shades lighter than my skin tone as an undereye concealer. It instantly makes my undereye area brighter!
2. As a subtle highlighter. Dot it on the top of your cheekbones, on the bridge of your nose, and under your browbone for instant depth.
3. As a base for lipstick. This is especially useful for women with uneven lip color. Swiping on a bit of flesh-toned base on your lips before lipstick application will make the lipstick color come out more even and vibrant.
Do you have any other uses for too-light foundations or face creams, Bellas? Let me know!
